Packaging World Magazine states that according to a new report “Green Packaging Market – Global Industry Analysis, Trend, Size, Share and Forecast 2015 – 2021,” the green packaging market is being driven by increasing health awareness among consumers.

But what can consumers believe? Products claiming to be “healthy” can turn out not to be after you’ve done your homework. The same is true for packaging. Recyclability can be less important than the overall life cycle of the material. Does the life cycle of the package just delay the trip to the landfill?
