INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER (Supervisory Experience Required) Independent Can Company, Belcamp, (Harford County) Maryland, a successful family-owned Can Manufacturer and Metal Decorator, is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills. This individual must have strong analytical, problem solving and teamwork skills, as he/she will be required to interface with all plant departments including Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Administration, and Sales. He/she must have the skills and ability to develop and manage facility maintenance, process improvement, system design, vendor management, and product development programs and equipment procurement. Domestic and international travel may be required. This position requires a four-year degree and someone who is proactive and willing to commit the hours necessary to meet the customers’ needs while directly supervising a department and interfacing with all levels of the organization. This position has excellent growth potential and offers above average pay and benefits including employee profit sharing and a non-contributory individual 401(k) option. COATER OPERATOR---LITHOGRAPHY
Wagner Spot Coater
(Experience Required)
The Lithography Division of Independent Can Company, a metal decorator located in Belcamp, (Harford County) Maryland, is seeking an experienced Coater Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for set up and operation of the Wagner Spot Coater. The Operator is responsible for the application of coatings and varnishes to metal sheets that are cured through an LTG oven. In addition, the Operator will be responsible for monitoring of the coater film weights and registration of various coatings. This is an hourly non-exempt position subject to overtime and reports to the Lithography Supervisor. This person should have good mechanical and problem-solving skills.
MACHINIST
The Machine Shop of Independent Can Company, a manufacturer of metal packaging products in Belcamp, Maryland, (Harford County) is in search of a machinist for first shift. This individual is expected to perform tool and die work, repair equipment, including making parts and tooling. Candidate must be proficient on all machine shop equipment, including lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, etc.
The position requires someone who is pro-active and willing to commit the hours necessary to meet customer needs. We offer competitive pay and benefits, including profit sharing, and we look to promote from within the Company.
